Park Plantings & Maintenance Update

Park Plantings: We're very pleased to report that some funds remain from the Friends of Alta Plaza Park $30,000 donation for northside post-construction plantings, so the southside will be receiving some enhancements as well. Sadly, we've already observed the theft of two shrubs from the Jackson/Pierce entry.

Maintenance: With heavy rains behind us and spring in full bloom, the SFRPD mowing crew has resumed its regular Alta Plaza Park Schedule.

Alta Plaza Park Gardening Staff

We're very pleased to report that SF Rec & Park has assigned two full-time gardeners to Alta Plaza Park. Emma Theoni now joins head gardener Roberto Chavez in maintaining and enhancing our 12 acre urban oasis. SF Rec and Park Children's Spring Event

Calling all parents....SFRPD is hosting its annual Eggstravaganza on April 13 at Robin Williams Meadow in Golden Gate Park on Saturday, April 13 from 11:00 to 3:00PM. This popular spring gathering will feature egg hunts, carnival rides, games, live entertainment, food trucks and the highly anticipated annual Rib Cook-Off between SF Rec and Park, SF Fire, SF Police and other City departments!

Northside Planting Project Complete!
